Patricia Rothwell
Founder & President

Common Thread Solutions, llc | Denver, Colorado


Patricia Rothwell is the Founder/President of The Common Thread Solutions, LLC, reducing front line labor turnover in the construction industry. She was a Sr. Area Sales Manager for 5 states in the Rocky Mountain Regions of Owens Corning's Insulation Residential and Commercial Division. She works with high-performance builders on the building strategy team to identify innovative opportunities for building science, marketing, sales implementation, and project management for builder initiatives.

Patricia grew up in Colorado’s building industry working in the field for her father, a custom home builder in the late 1980s. After graduating college, Patricia worked in a variety of industries; corporate communications at IBM to sales promotions, grassroots marketing campaigns, new business development, fundraising, and media relations in the airlines, healthcare, and financial industries. After 10 years at Owens Corning, she continued in the building materials industry bringing her vast experience to work with insulation contractors, distributors, and builders.

Patricia has been active in the Colorado energy efficiency industry. She is a founding member of EEBC. She has received the Sales Excellence Award, Pinnacle Awards and in 2014 was recognized as one of the Top 40 Women in Energy Efficiency by the Denver Business Journal.

Charlie Buck
Regulatory Affairs Manager

Charlie is the Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Market Development for Western North America at Oracle, a software company based in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, he works with the region's regulators, policy-makers, stakeholders, and utility partners.

Andy Caler
Director of Energy Efficiency Program

Energy Outreach Colorado     Denver, Colorado

Andy has over 12 years of experience in program management, DSM program implementation, auditing and rating, contract negotiation, and contractor relations. Currently, he is the Director of Energy Efficiency Programs with Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), a leader in a network of industry, state, and local partners that assist income-qualified Colorado residents in affording their energy needs. In his position at EOC, Andy manages relationships with investor-owned utilities, municipalities, and rural electrics throughout Colorado to implement income-qualified energy efficiency and solar programs.

Previously, Andy worked in the Colorado Energy Office as the Weatherization Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator, coordinating training for nine government agencies and over two-hundred weatherization workers for a $100 million program.

Ian Doebber
Chief R&D Engineer

Latent Engineering 
   Denver, Colorado


Ian started Latent Engineering in 2018. He provides technical consulting on building technologies for solutions covering energy efficiency, distributed generation and thermal/battery storage. His clients include NREL, Software Motor Company and AES Distributed Energy. Prior, he lead the R&D efforts at Transformative Wave (TW) for 3 years, focusing on expanding TW's product stack to include Smart Grid applications, data analytics and Internet-of-Things capabilities. Prior to TW, Ian worked for 8 years at the NREL conducting laboratory testing, field demonstration and analytical modeling of advanced building technologies from refrigeration to HVAC to facades. Prior to NREL, was a engineer at Arup for 3 years designing hospitals, labs, museums, offices and college campuses, from Schematic Design to Construction Admin. He has a MS from Virginia Tech and a BS from Bucknell University in Mechanical Engineering.

Jim Meyers
Senior Associate,
Director Buildings Efficiency Program 

Southwest Energy Efficiency Project | Boulder, Colorado

Jim is Senior Associate, Director of Buildings Efficiency Program for the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP), where he works on building efficiency opportunities. Jim is responsible for conducting analysis, preparing case studies, evaluating new and emerging technologies for buildings and promoting the adoption of state-of-the-art building energy codes and voluntary programs.

Jim has worked in multiple sectors of the energy field by starting his working career in the generation of power via fuel cells and more recently through energy efficiency of the built environment and new construction. Previous to his current position Jim was a regional manager for an insulation trade association where he worked with regional efficiency alliances, state energy offices, and other organizations to support the adoption of advanced energy codes. Prior to this position Jim was the Technical Director for E-Star Colorado where he directed the Home Energy Rating program and building energy codes advancement in Colorado.

Clayton Reed
Portfolio Manager

CLEAResult, LLC | Boulder, Colorado

Clayton is a Portfolio Manager at CLEAResult, which implements energy efficiency utility programs throughout the United States and Canada.

Clayton graduated from University of Colorado at Denver with a Masters in Global Energy Management in 2012. He has 10 years of experience in various roles and companies within the energy efficiency sector. He is responsible for managing and achieving financial targets and business operations for multiple electric and natural gas Utility clients in Colorado. He directly supervises a team of 5 managers, with a staff of over 40 individuals throughout Colorado and New Mexico.

Doug White
Integrated Solutions Executive

Trane | Denver, Colorado

Doug is an Integrated Solutions Executive with Trane focusing on Performance Contracting and large Non-Guarantee energy-related projects. Doug has extensive experience working with large Investor Owned Utilities on the development and implementation of rebate programs and projects. His career has not only been focused on energy efficiency but also with manufactures that support those energy efficiencies such as HVAC, Lighting, Lighting Controls, and Solar. Recently, Doug has been working on developing Smart City strategies. Strategies that assist cities in the Denver Metro area to achieve their long-term strategic goals.

Andrew Wildenberg

e3 Power | Denver, Colorado

Andy is a founding partner of e3 Power (economic, energy, efficiency). He graduated from the University of Denver in 1975 with a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management and has been involved in property ownership and management for over 40 years. In January 2010, he went back to school at Red Rocks Community College to study energy efficiency. In May of 2013, he participated in an NREL Job Task Analysis symposium to determine the criteria for a multi-family building operator certification. In March 2014, he was part of the NREL Scheme Committee for Quality Control Inspector for Multi-family housing.

Andy believes in the axiom Use what you need not what you can”. His finance and property management background leads to sound decision making based on return on investment. Any savings that can be attained through energy efficiency investments increases the value of the investment.
